These Terms govern your use of ZioTimes, operated by Madhu Dasari, sole proprietor, trading as Zio Times (Udyam Reg. UDYAM-TS-16-0043996) ("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to them.

1. What ZioTimes is

ZioTimes is a pan-India news website publishing original reporting across ten languages, plus live TV, video, and a Digital Journalist Program that lets registered users submit local stories for editorial review.

2. Using the site

Reading ZioTimes is free, always. No account is required to read. An account is required to comment, follow journalists and places, subscribe to breaking-news alerts, or submit a story. You must be 18 or older to create an account.

3. Digital Journalist Program

Anyone with an active plan can submit a story for review. Submitting a story does not guarantee publication — every submission is reviewed by our editorial team before it can go live, and payment does not bypass or speed up this review. By submitting, you confirm the story is genuine, that you have the right to submit any photos, videos, or documents attached, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights. We may edit submissions for clarity, length, house style, or legal reasons before publication, and may decline to publish any submission without obligation to explain why. Once published, a submitted story becomes part of ZioTimes' editorial content, credited to you as a Citizen Journalist byline.

4. Payments

A Digital Journalist plan is a one-time payment, processed by Razorpay, for 30 days of access with the post allowance shown on the plan. The price shown is the full price you pay; there are no added fees. Plans never renew automatically and you are never charged again unless you choose to buy another plan, so there is nothing to cancel. Refunds are covered by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

5. Content and intellectual property

All ZioTimes editorial content — articles, video, graphics — is owned by Madhu Dasari, sole proprietor, trading as Zio Times (Udyam Reg. UDYAM-TS-16-0043996) or licensed to us, except content you submit under the Digital Journalist Program, which you retain ownership of while granting us a license to publish, edit, and distribute it as part of ZioTimes.

6. Prohibited use

Don't use ZioTimes to submit or post content that is defamatory, knowingly false, impersonates someone else, infringes another person's rights, scrapes or republishes our content without permission, attempts to disrupt the site, or violates Indian law, including the Norms of Journalistic Conduct that apply to digital news publishers under the IT Rules, 2021.

7. Disclaimer

News is reported to the best of our editorial team's knowledge at the time of publication. We correct errors — see our Corrections Policy — but don't guarantee the site or its content will be error-free or uninterrupted at all times.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by Indian law, Madhu Dasari, sole proprietor, trading as Zio Times (Udyam Reg. UDYAM-TS-16-0043996) is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of ZioTimes.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms; continued use after a change means you accept the update.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, with courts in Telangana having jurisdiction.
